Lionstone Energy and Marine Services

Lionstone Energy and Marine Services ('LEMS') which is a Lagos based subsidiary of the Lionstone Group was incorporated in 2006 and currently owns 5 Liftboats also known as Self Elevating Work Oil Platforms ('SEWOPS'), making LEMS the largest indigenous owner of Liftboats services in West Africa. The Liftboats are operated and managed by Hercules Offshore; a NYSE traded multinational marine services company, who also is the largest owner and operator of Liftboats in the world.

Liftboats are self propelled vessels with legs that are ballasted and lowered to the sea bed, providing a work platform with crane lifting capacity and are typically chartered by producers on offshore fields to support offshore oil and gas platforms and well maintenance activities.

LEMS is currently expanding its fleet through the acquisition of 4 additional vessels to meet the projected demand for Liftboats in Nigeria and other West African regions.

Details of current vessel fleet are as follows:

  1. F.J. Leleux
  2. James Choat
  3. Charlie Cobb
  4. Durwood Speed
  5. Zoal Albrecht
