Lionstone Offshore Services Limited
The Lionstone Group and Hercules Offshore Nigeria signed a joint bidding agreement to execute offshore marine services under Nigerian local content policy. The background and objectives of the relationship are detailed as follows:
- Lionstone Offshore Services Limited; a Lionstone Energy Group Company, operating jointly with Hercules Offshore, Nigeria Ltd to provide offshore Marine Services to Oil Majors operating in Nigerian coastal waters.
- Hercules Offshore Nigeria Limited, (Owned by Hercules Offshore – a NYSE traded company) is a registered Nigerian company; established in Lagos, Nigeria in 2006 through acquisitions of Liftboat assets from both Halliburton Energy Services and Danos & Curole International to service Nigeria and West Africa
- Together Lionstone Offshore and HONL, our joint venture owns, controls and operates 22 Liftboats – the largest and most diverse portfolio of Liftboats in the industry, with a capability of providing stable offshore platforms in waters of up to 250ft depth
- Operations have been conducted for most of the major oil companies in Nigeria, including: ExxonMobil (MPN), Chevron, Addax, SEPCO, Movido, Conoil and EPC Companies
Both companies have a combined 377 member country staff, incluing 139 national and 57 expatriates with 181 contract variety of services performed aboard Liftboats, including construction and engineering, well intervention, platform maintenance, decommissioning, pipeline hook-up, geotechnical investigation, early production facility/mobile test unit.
Together Lionstone and Hercules are targeting:
- To be the Premier Service Provider operating in Nigeria and West Africa utilizing a skilled and qualified Nigerian Work-force focused on providing reliable, safe and experienced Liftboat services to the oil and gas industry
- To achieve market-leader position for Liftboat operations in Nigeria & West Africa
- To achieve skill and technologies transfer to a wholly Nigerian Liftboat workforce in a phased approach To utilize Nigerian producers as core clients
- To be contractor of choice for safe environmentally responsible, high specification Liftboat service in Nigeria and West Africa.

- Deliver world class marine, supply and platform services to the offshore oil exploration and production industry in West Africa, with Nigeria as a leading market
- Focus on Nigerian service providers as a core source for equipment, materials & service
- Recruitment, Training and development of our Nigerian workforce on an accelerated basis to deliver the most competent operation in this market
- Develop and implement an overall community development plan in which communities will evolve and prosper joint West Africa fleet.
